Thanks for starting! I actually used this info and visited Pet Mart last Saturday. While I was there, I discovered another gem of a shop.
The Little Pet Shop
Blk 154 Serangoon North Ave 1, #01-422

Focuses on small animals (has hammies, rabbits, chinchillas) only - no fish supplies to clutter up the space. Extremely friendly and knowledgeable chap manning the shop, speaks good English, very willing to share insider advice on products (he may even advise you against buying certain items based on feedback that other customers have given him). He gives good prices and may add on discounts on the low prices if you buy more items. I would go there again if I have time (although Serangoon North itself is such a far place for me). Not sure if they do delivery.
It's a small shop just further down the path from Pet Mart (if not mistaken, it's near a hair dressing salon too). Almost easy to miss.

Alight There And Look Out For A CD shop. Opposite Of Prime Supermarket. U Can See Animal Posters Down There. Just Go Up The Stairs And U Are There.
The Prices There Are Not That Constant Some Cheap Some Exp. A Marukan - Hamster House Cost Usualy Cost About $10+. But This Shop Sells It At $6. Look A Runnig Wheel At Another Shop $6. Go This Shop $9. Bought A Ultra Carefresh Beddings At 12.90. But I Get It At $12 The Sis, Auntie Knoes Me. Regular Customer. They Also Sell Chins And Hammies. So Far I Onli See Sapphire And Pearl WW. Dunno Bout The Price Though. The Sis, Untie There Are Quite Friendly.
another place to recommend Farmart, also at sungei tengah. they also have a free shuttle bus from choa chu kang mrt.
Farmart is like a one stop centre for all your 'farm needs' with shops for pets,fish,vegetables,fruits etc.

This shop used to sell exclusively fish but now they have a good range of hamster stuff as well. The shopkeeper and his assistant(wife?) were very helpful. Maybe cos I was the oni customer in the shop at the time. Paid $4 each for Delikate Sticks, $9 for a Minimal Goods egg shaped toilet/sand bath. so u consider whether it is cheap. also sells quite a number of hammies.

Actually hor this pet shop ish call "Canine Affairs" ...
i do agree that dey sell pretty cheap and reasonable pet stuff dere..however jus to share wif u guys out dere..the hammies kept dere are in UNPLEASANT conditions...i used to gib dem muy hammies pups..but after a recent visit..i dunch reali encourage ppl to gib deir hammies babies to dis particular pet shop..
the hammies are being kept in tanks..but it's obvious that the pet shop owner does not clean or wash dese tanks at all...there's pungent smell emitting frm the tanks and eben a hammie suffering frm skin problems, which ish so apparent frm the red patches on its white fur..
though dese hammies are for display oni..i tink it's a bad reflection on the pet shop's ability to truly care for animals..to claim dey are a PET SHOP...oh wells.. =x

How To Go There: Alight At Boon Lay And Take Bus Service 242, While Riding Look Out For City Harvest Church. Actualy The Bus Stop is Near To CT harvest church. Alight There And Look Out For A CD shop. Opposite Of Prime Supermarket. U Can See Animal Posters Down There. Just Go Up The Stairs And U Are There.
The Prices There Are Not That Constant Some Cheap Some Exp. A Marukan - Hamster House Cost Usualy Cost About $10+. But This Shop Sells It At $6. Look A Runnig Wheel At Another Shop $6. Go This Shop $9. Bought A Ultra Carefresh Beddings At 12.90. But I Get It At $12 The Sis, Auntie Knoes Me. Regular Customer. They Also Sell Chins And Hammies. So Far I Onli See Sapphire And Pearl WW. Dunno Bout The Price Though. The Sis, Untie There Are Quite Friendly.

I would definitely NOT recommend this shop. I mentioned in some other thread that i bot my syrian thr. N i was told that she is only 6 weeks old. When i brot her back n post pics here, the members tell me she is AT LEAST 3mths old!
So dishonest!!
The prices here are also very expensive.
Some of the shops which i would recommend is Pet Mart at 151 Serangoon North Avenue 2 #01-79 Singapore 550151. They have a big range of pdts and they do sell hamsters too. The prices are cheap or at least reasonable.
N whn u go to SN, u might wan to check out the other shops namely, Que Feng, Happy Paws, Little Pet Shop and one more which i can't rem.. They are all nearby to each other.. So i think SN is a good place is u wan to shop for hammies stuffs.

funnily enough Pets Kampong is the pet shop i patronise the most cos it is convenient to go there on sundays after church to get my pet supplies
but i dun buy hammies from there.i think it is not that they are dishonest, but that their staff dun have much knowledge about pets and the stuff they sell. anyway as long as you know what you want, think you should be fine...

this shop ? i don't like the service ....u go there buy 1 thing only the auntie will ask u buy this buy that then if u go and look at their thing & never buy she will like show 1 face like that de ...then i saw soooo many things from daiso they selling $7-8+ just take alook at how they house their hammies ...the condition is eeeeeeeeew ...
1 only buy 1 thing from them ....BC i can use 2-3 pack of 35l BC in a month ...and that the cheapest i can find liao ...

think of the location of the shop, definitely the things selling there can't be cheap also.
sometime i find that they're a bit too pushy to push their product but anyway, beside SN, dun think i will really go and get pet supplies from other places already.
dunno how to appreciate pet mart's hamsters actually.

like my aunt lor, she come my hse, c my hamster so cute, then she buy 1 hamster + adopt 2 hamsters, but she left everything to the maid to do, then the maid have to take care of the kids, and do housework, where got time change bedding.. then the bedding is like super smelly when i was there.

ya la, quite sad... my boss also... her kids wants hamsters, bought then play for 2 weeks don't want already. Leave to maid to handle. The maid is so afraid of the hamster, always use glove to pick him up, clean the cage then put back.... well he died naturally but I am sure he did not have much fun!
went to SN on sat, went to take a look at House of Chinchilla. not that much hammie stuff. mostly chins stuff. anyway, lots of boxes etc all over the shop. like not fully open yet. but is open for business. but dun dare go inside cos no other customers and the door was closed.
