By winternite: It can be a big problem for hamster who's having teeth problem (lose the teeth, grow out of alignment/slanted etc) to eat properly especially on the hard solid hamster mixed.

I have this campbell, not sure how but his top teeth just gone, lost...
he cant eat the hamster mixed at all, hence i kind of come out with this 'combination' of wheat, grains, oats and seeds, grind and mixed with water + colostrum and feed it to him.

He does feed on colostrum mixed with water everyday and he can finish 3ml - 4ml each time.

Anyway will share how and what i mixed here and hope it help members who dunno what to feed when your hamster is having teeth problem or even old/sick hamsters too.. :)

What you need:-

  • The Mixed
    • bran oats - contains B complex vitamins, protein, fat, minerals, and heart healthy soluble fiber.
    • flakes quinoa
    • flakes spelt
    • flakes four grains (rolled oat, barley flake, wheat flake & rye flake)
    • millet hulled - excellent source of iron and magnesium. It is also high in calcium, phosphorous, manganese, zinc, and B vitamins, especially niacin, B6 and folic acid.
    • buckwheat - a rich source of the amino acid lysine. It contains high levels of protein, calcium, magnesium, phosphorous, B vitamins, and iron.
    • bran fibre
    • quinoa (optional since already have flakes quinoa) - contains about 17% high-quality protein, very high in iron, and it is an important source of calcium, zinc, potassium, magnesium, phosphorus, and copper.

*list can be vary depends on what i can get from the organic shop but will try to get mainly flake for the grains and wheat for easy grinding. :)

Note: remember to check their teeth very often (at least twice a week) and make sure to bring to a vet to trim it (can ask the vet to teach you then after that can do it yourself) if they are fully on this soft diet.
