When ur hammie has escaped:

Step 1
Limit the area where ur hammie has escaped. If its in a room, closed the door.

Step 2
To eliminate potential dangers, remember to put down toilet covers, cover the drain holes and block other small corners where hammie might be trapped inside.

Step 3
If ur hammie is housed in a cage, you can propped a cardboard roll or a funnel along the open cage door like a ramp. In this way, your hammie might find its way home sometimes after roaming around.

Step 4
You can place hammie traps near places where you think ur hammie might roamed ard.

What you will need to do a hammie trap:
Top left - a stack of books or magazines
Top right - a container
Bottom left - ur hammie fav treats such as pine nuts
Bottom right - a small piece of cloth such as a face towel or handkerchief

a. Use the stack of books to form a staircase

b. Put the face towel over the top of the container and put the pine nuts in the middle

c. Put the container beside the staircase edge and the trap is done.

Things To Take Note:
1. The cloth used should cover the opening of the container slightly over the edge and not too long. If the cloth is too long, it will not slip into the container when ur hammie stepped on the cloth. Hence, the trap will fail to work.

Example of a wrongly done trap - the cloth is too long

2. If you are using fresh treats, remember to replace it before it spoils.

3. Do not put the treats near the edge of staircase or else ur hammie might be able to reach for the it without stepping on the cloth. Hence, the trap will fail to work.

4. Ensure that the container used is just high enough so that ur hammie won't be able to climb out. Do not use a very tall container or else ur hammie might injured itself when falling into the trap.

Hope this guide is helpful to you! :)
