Hamster Powered Ventilation Fan

Hamsters are fun, fat, and very good at converting energy. Soon humans will marvel at how they can power their civilization without burning fossil fuels. All they need is a wheel, and they have a million eager volunteers waiting in line.

For now, your hamsters can operate their own ventilation fan, so that they can get more fresh air, and clear out the ammonia pollution caused by advanced hamster societies.

First Step:
1) Buy a toy airplane propeller from Artfriend ($6.95) "cheaper elsewhere if you happen to see it"
2) Buy a thin metal rod from the same place ($1.45)

Second step:
1) Prepare silicon or super glue
2) Pliers
3) Flames producing materials (I used candles cause its so much more romantic)
4) A hamster wheel

Fixing
1) Heat up the metal rod and burn a hole through the hamster wheel (close to center), and in center of the propeller blade.
2) Bend the metal rod to the same shape using pliers as seen
3) Put bent metal rod into hamster wheel and glue it in place. Glue must be on the side that is not accessible by hamsters.
4) Put wheel into hamster home, put metal rod through tank holes, and attach the propellers. (Propellers can be removed easily)

Suitable for:
1) Bins with holes drilled
2) Aquarium with holes drilled
2) Tanks with one hamster only. Don't want another hamster walking into a 10kph death trap
3) Cages. If you still want more air...

Limitations
1) Your silent wheel will no longer be silent. It will make "Tic Tac" sounds when the metal rod rubs against the tank holes. (No explicits intended)
2) You will look like a tech geek if you own one of these. And no i'm not an evil science genius or mechanic. I'm a tutor.
3) For solid wall tanks with one hamster, you need to put a V shaped cup to support the metal rod. (No explicits intended)
4) For solid wall with multiple hamsters, you need to create a wire mesh box to house the propeller blades and keep your hammies safe from their own technological advancements.
5) Hammies might chew on the propeller blades if kept inside tank

Future Developments
1) Silence the "Tic Tac" sounds. I'm still looking for ball bearings and stuff to test out.
2) Bigger propellers for more air

Bubbly, "OMG! Is that a propeller?! WT!"

Bubbly, "I'm having TWO mealworms for testing your bronze age tools!"

Bubbly, "Can I get a REAL couch soon?!"

Lays, "Hey Bubbly! Stop digging and check out the babes!"

Both little sisters are small but active. They love climbing the cage. I wonder if I should put a big hamhead or 2 small hamheads.

Selling hamsters

I don't know where I can post this at, but I feel enraged seeing hammies getting sold online by "experienced" owners who are irresponsible.
Here's the link: site link removed.

If they can't afford to keep so many, they shouldn't let them mate and etc.
Now they have SIXTEEN hammies, and how many will they sell away?! Urghhh.

WTBuy: a 17cm running wheel

Hello,
If you have one to sell cheaply, please post or PM me with your selling price.
I dont need a stand. As long as it is in working condition (ie no cracks or anything which can hurt the hamster), even if it is noisy, I can consider too.
Thank you.
